Hello,
My name is Adam, I work for a naturopath and am interested in medicinal botany intertwined with psychology and biology. I am a sophomore at Evergreen and I am excited to take this class to learn more about developmental psych.

Hello,
My name is Alex. I do not have any children or spouses, and I am not pregnant (that I know of), but that would be strange because I am male. Cook is my name, and while I enjoy cooking, I do not define myself as "a cook," just to clear up any confusion about the username. I am a senior and this is my fourth year at Evergreen. I plan on graduating in Winter quarter. I have primarily taken laboratory science programs here, biology and chemistry, but my emphasis is in cognitive sciences. I also work in Lab Stores. During the week my time is spent either there, or doing research for either the Simon Lab working with fish vaccination, or my own research working with C. elegans. This is one of two psychology courses I am taking this quarter, the other is East-West Psychology, and the only other one I have taken was Dream Psychology. I have been very interested in human development, and I am looking forward to expanding my view of psychological development to combine with what I know about biology. Last year, while taking Molecule to Organism, we did a project creating wiki pages on Evergreen's database of wikis, so I am somewhat familiar with how they work.

Also, I am not sure where to put this question, if anyone knows what the book reading is this week or where to find that info I would like to know, thanks.

HI
My name is Ashley. I'm a work full time at the Department of Licensing as a fraud investigator and am a full time student. I'm a senior at Evergreen and am excited as this is my final quarter before graduating. I'm really excited about this class as my husband and I are expecting our first child in March.

Hi Ashley!

Congrats on a baby. Is this your first? I think it is wild that there are two of you that work as fraud investigators. What does that consist of doing? Do you enjoy it? See you Thursday.

Heather

Ashley,
Congrats on being pregnant. I hope it's been a good experience thus far. It's pretty cool we are both expecting, I am due in April 1st 2013, how about you?

Hello! My name is Heather Jackson. I am still trying to navigate my way around Wiki. I just finished up at SPSCC and looking forward to a new adventure at TESC! I am looking forward to this class and working with all of the group #2 members. See you Thursday!

Hi Heather! Great to learn more about you....I am also trying to figure this whole Wiki thing out...it is completely out of my range of skills! :0) See you thursday.

Hi Heather,

It's great to meet you. I think so far everyone that's written for our group is new to Wiki so we are all in this together :) See you Thursday.

Ashley

My name is Lora Weed. I am a senior at The Evergreen State College and am preparing for graduate school next fall (hoping for Antioch, LIOS, or Saint Martins). My Bachelor of Arts was going to be in history but I changed my emphasize to history and psychology. I am taking this class because it fits into my grand plan for the future. This is probably one of the most unique class set ups I have ever encountered here at Evergreen so just bare with me while i figure it out. I am a mother to a lovely, awesome, talented, handful of a boy whose name is Izaak. Izaak and can usually be found wearing one of his fedoras or bow-ties. I am also pregnant with my second child. I met my husband freshman year in high school and we have been together for nearly 12 years. I have lived in Olympia my whole life and can’t imagine raising my family anywhere else.

Lora,

I am not sure how to respond when one of our group members posts something. Any advise? I apologize if writng on yuor page like this is wrong. I wanted to say "Nice to meet you! Congrats on graduating!"

Heather

Looking forward to getting to know you more!
Tara Serrano

It's exciting to know there is someone else in the class that's pregnant :) I think it will be a fun and interesting quarter knowing that a little one will soon be entering the world. I am excited to meet all of you face to face on Thursday (again). :)

Ashley

Hello to all. I'm Maddie Graves AKA: the one that brings the baby to class. I enjoy learning and am currently taking quite a few psych courses here at Evergreen so that I'll be able to graduate in March with dual focuses in Non-profit management and in Psychology. I also enjoy playing on the women's basketball team here when I'm not going to class or attending to my three lovely daughters and awesome husband.

Maddie,

I like how you have set up your notes for this reading and your own thoughts and perceptions. I am still a little uncertain on the expectations of this Wiki page. I hope tonight to get a little more clarification. I look forward to chatting about the reading.

Heather

Hello Group#2!! I am brand new to this whole wiki business so hopefully I am doing this correctly.......I am a returning student to TESC after a year off and before that I was out of college for 6 years.....I am excited to be back and be on the what I hope final stretch of school....at least for now! :0) I have two boys, Kadyn (almost 3) and Alejandro (7 1/2) and an awesome husband, Peter. He is a grad from TESC, so that is always fun to show him the work I am doing.....I work for the State of Washington as a Fraud Investigator, so I have a very demanding career, but I am really looking forward to finishing my degree and hoping it'll open some new avenues.....looking forward to getting to know you all better in the coming weeks!

Hi Tara!

I'm a fraud investigator too! I work for the Department of Licensing, where do you work? I have a similar history with school as I took 4 years off and started at Evergreen last summer. I've been working and going to school full time for over a year so I'm excited this is my last quarter. Finally!

See you Thursday.

Ashley

Tara,
Congrats on returning to school with such a busy life. I am unfamiliar with Wiki as well. Maybe we can join together and figure it out! See you Thursday.

Heather

Hi Tara,

It is great your back in school. I hope you get something great out of this class.
